How Long Have You Got

Privacy Policy

The short version: this app doesn't have a server, doesn't have accounts, and doesn't send what you enter anywhere. Everything below explains that in detail so you don't have to take our word for it.

1. What the app stores, and where

When you use How Long Have You Got, you may enter: a birth date, whether you'd like it treated as a Hijri or Gregorian date, milestones you add yourself (a label and a date), and display preferences (countdown scope, unit, and narration style). All of this is written to your device's local app storage and never leaves it. We do not operate a server for this app, so there is nowhere for it to be sent.

2. What we don't collect

3. Device backups

Your birth date, milestones, and preferences are stored using your operating system's standard local app storage. If you have iCloud Backup or Android's built-in backup service turned on for this app, that data may be included in your normal device backup — the same as any other app on your phone. That backup is controlled by Apple or Google's platform, not by us.

4. Third-party services

The app uses the following third-party components, purely as software libraries — none of them are analytics or advertising services:

Tapping a citation link (for example, a reference to a hadith) opens your device's browser to an external site such as sunnah.com. That site's own privacy policy applies once you leave the app — we don't control what it collects.

5. Children's privacy

This app is not directed at children and is not designed to collect personal information from anyone, child or adult, since it has no account system and no network transmission of what you enter.

6. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new effective date above.
